Make a Blog the Easy Way!

Posted by admin in January 22nd 2012

There are a lot of free and easy ways that anyone can create their own personal Blog. If you have a current website you can add a blog for discussions. One of the most popular and easy to use blogging software is called WordPress. WordPress started in 2003 and developed a very easy way to install a self-hosted blog on any website. Since then they have expanded to the largest and most popular blogging software on the Internet.

One of the most attractive things about creating a WordPress blog is that that you can do the initial install with a utility through a very simple menu. About 95% of the web hosts have a utility called Fantastico that does the heavy lifting (a blog is basically a database in PHP). Answer about 3 questions like, location, admin password, and nickname for posting and you now have a forum that allows people to make comments.

There is a little configuration once you get your blog up, but you use an admin panel with all the settings available to setup the basics. The general installation gives you all that you need to start but many may want to add a new theme to dress up their new blog. There are many free themes that you review at the WordPress website.

There are 100′s of websites that offer tutorials, including the WordPress website. Most people can put a blog up and get it running in under an hour, even the first time. That’s why blogs have become so popular. There are also many free plugins (small programs written to do very specific things within the blog) that are designed to increase any blogs capabilities.

Another big factor in favor of blogs is that the visitor can make comments on any of the current posts or articles. Getting instant feedback can liven things up on any type of discussion. Blogs are all about getting input from readers and create an open forum for just about any subject.

Many of the popular Web 2.0 websites like Facebook allow each user to create their own blogs too. Once you sign up as a user you can create a blog on any subject within the parent website’s guidelines. Part of the social aspect of Web 2.0 is the ability to start a conversation about anything of interest.

There are free hosting companies that will allow you to start your own blog like Google’s Blogger. You don’t need to register a domain, just pick an open name and you can set it up in a matter of minutes. You can make it look anyway you want through a set of menus so even a new user can individualize their style and look.

Blogging has become a big part of the Web 2.0 mix and can let anyone create a place on the Internet to discuss just about any subject. Any subject from a hobby to a current event can be up and running quickly. If you want to promote something or put your 2 cents out there on a subject, this gives you the opportunity.

So the next time you have something you want to say about a subject or event, head on over to one of the Web 2.0 websites and start your own discussion. Or if you want to create your own website but don’t know how to use HTML or any of the complicated website software, check out WordPress and you’ll be up and running in a matter of minutes.

Start Your Own Photo Blog

Posted by admin in January 18th 2012

Photo blogging is becoming very popular as more and more people want to show their images to others and consequently, several completely free blog site-hosting services are available.

Setting up a blog site is very easy to do. All you will need is an internet connection and a blog hosting service like the one provided by Google. Just type in “google blogger” into your browser and follow the on screen instructions to set up your own personal blog site in four simple stages.

For those who are unfamiliar with blog sites, you can take the tour that Google provides. To start, all you have to do is to create a Google account (if you don’t already have one) which is free and you will be on your way to creating your blog site in just a few minutes – it really is simple.

Once you have created your blog site, you can start to upload your pictures and add your comments or invite other people to comment on them. You can either restrict viewing of the site to your friends and family or allow anyone to view it. You decide who can see your comments and pictures and who can write to it.

You may want to restrict viewing of your blog site as a means of showing your shots to your friends and relatives in other parts of the country or the world. Alternatively, you may want to post your shots online to find people with similar interests to you, like landscapes, nature, portraits or unusual lighting effects and so on.

It can be fascinating to see the feedback that your images get but you must be brave. Some people will love your shots and others may not be so impressed – you have to take the rough with the smooth.

If you choose a theme, say, weird or unusual subjects for example, you will soon start to attract others who are interested in this topic. The challenge will then be to keep finding images in keeping with your theme so that you can post them on your blog site – so keep your camera with you at all times.

With the Google site, the latest posting appears at the top of the page where your viewers can see you newest work and comment on it.

Whether you choose to use the blog for private viewing only , or you are happy to show your work to the world at large, you will create a new outlet for your style of photography that will stimulate you to take and post more pictures. As I said earlier, this can become quite addictive and it won’t be long before you are striving to take a picture a day.

It doesn’t cost anything to set up a blog site like this, so give it a try and see how much more enjoyment you can get from your photography.

A Blog! Important Or Not?

Posted by admin in January 12th 2012

What is a blog?

Why do you need one?

Why is its value critical?

What is a blog?

In simple terms it is a type of website…Where you can add your own personal events, thoughts, views, news, photos, videos, “how to” info…For everyone to see and comment on.

But it’s also much more…You can advertise, you can sell your own things and other peoples’ and companies’ products…To make an income from anybody on-line and from across the world…..All for free.

Your blog must be? You? All over it, you are the one of interest to your visitors, so don’t disappoint them by not being genuine, unique and don’t be someone else!!

Your blog can contain all of your articles you ever created in its archive, so stand out from the rest with your blog and be different! Be original!

To easily set up a blog if you don’t already have one, I would go for a WordPress blog and get it hosted off site of wp with a hosting company like hostgator or similar, so that you have your own site. Don’t have a url like http://www.Yourname.Wordpress.Com. Preferably your blog url should look like this http://www.Yourname.Com, while you are setting up your blog go download the “flexability2 theme” free for the theme of your blog, its got a excellent design which is not too difficult to work it out.

Why do you need a blog?

Your primary goal for having a blog, would be having it as your central hub for all your outside efforts to invite traffic, the traffic comes through your blog ( hub ) from sites like Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, MySpace, Squidoo, Google and yahoo into your sales funnel then automatically contacts them back with autoresponder emails to help cultivate them into prospects while all the way offering helpful essential affiliate programs, earning you money while freeing up your time to grow your business attracting more leads. If you don’t have a small business blog – start one today.

Blogs value on-line?

search engines love blogs! Why? Because people love blogs. People will read a blog post quicker than most other types of content on-line. This allows you to target keywords and phrases, dominate market niches, and take your MLM advertising straight to the people. Learn how to setup a profitable blog correctly. Learn how to earn from your blog. Study some of the top earner blogs out there and apply what you see in you’re own business -it will give you great results over time.
